2024 英國：早上食英式下午茶
由於不可訂枱的關係，我們決定第二天早上8時45分等開門，也幸運地可以坐靠窗的位置。雖然早上吃甜食好像怪怪的，但去旅行好像就可以打破一切的框框。我們三人選擇了1份早餐、2份下午茶，也是誤打誤撞淺嘗早餐餐牌的食物。
早餐架也有3層。雜錦果乾燕麥雖然賣相不討喜，但味道豐富；乾果麵包如果沒有肉桂糖就完美了；而法式巧克力麵包就無可挑剔。這3款都不是主食，而是瑞士薯餅。不過有趣的是英式早餐有法國和瑞士的元素，相信這裏是一段有趣的歷史。
來到下午茶的部分，有時希望越大，失望越大。食物其實很經典，所以也沒有什麼驚喜。不過，三文治、蔓越莓香橙司康、3款蛋糕其實很美味，令人很滿足。所以也推薦給大家，在這裏會吃出了旅行的味道：）
2024 England: Enjoy afternoon tea in the morning
Since traditional afternoon tea is non-bookable, we decided to wait outside the cafe at 8:45 am for a table. We were lucky enough to enjoy a window table. Although it seemed weird to have dessert in the early morning, traveling was a great excuse to do all the abnormal things. We chose one grande breakfast and two afternoon tea sets and accidentally tried their breakfast menu in one goal.
There are also 3 layers for the breakfast rack. Though Bircher muesli is not looking fancy, the flavor is rich. Toasted fruit loaf would be perfect without cinnamon sugar. Pain au chocolat is fantastic as usual. What stands out from the menus is Swiss rösti. I believe there must be an interest history to have both element of French and Swiss cuisine in an English breakfast.
For afternoon tea, I can only conclude with the sentence: The higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment. Since it is a traditional menu, there is no surprises. On the other hand, to be fair, the sandwiches, cranberry orange scone and 3 types of cakes were all mouth watering and satisfying. Thus, I still recommend to every one since you can have a taste of traveling in this cafe : )
