2019 Summer Day 4 平安完成 感謝大自然 [小口至熊野那智大社] 19公里
參天大樹下行山，完成沒有夏日炎熱的感覺，下午在日式涼亭吃便當更是別有風味。19公里後到達那智大社完全沒有實感，一切都好像仍在夢中。那智瀑布作為日本最高的瀑布發出的聲響巨大而沉實，讓人終於有點實感。
在景點與三天旅伴分別後，行了大約20分鐘到大門坂 和笑庵(7700 yen)住宿一晚，明天一早回市區。同樣是包早晚餐，估計不到這間民宿為我的人生路向帶來如此巨大的變化。
民宿主人是一位獨居老婆婆，兒女都在城市工作結婚生子。婆婆略懂英語，很自豪地介紹她的家人和日本，家中一切都井井有條，這完成打開了我的新世界。原來退休後不一定無所事事，60歲後的生活也多姿多彩，那一刻我真的對未來多點期盼，原來找到自己定位的人是那麼的自信漂亮。那天晚上的對話，埋下的種子，期許未來的我在山中也經營一間小木屋，為山者帶來一點美好的回憶。
Day 4 Thankful to the nature for the safe hike [Koguchi to Kumano Nachi Taisha] 19km
Hiking along the trail with towering trees was so comforting that I did not feel like it was summer time. Having a Japanese bento under a pavilion was even an enjoyment. After hiking 19 km, we arrived at Nachi Taisha and things were so unreal. Everything was so dreamy until we saw the tallest waterfall in Japan which is called Nachi Falls. The large but grounding sound brought me back to reality and I was thankful for the whole hike.

After saying goodbye to my three-day hiking partner, I walked for another 20 minutes to Daimon-zaka Washoan Homestay (7700 yen) for a night before going back to town the next day. Similar to other cottages, dinner and breakfast was included. However, I did not expect this stay would bring me such a life changing experience.
The owner of the cottage is a retired old lady. Her children have already moved to the city to work and they even got married and had kids. The owner is well educated and she knows how to communicate in English. She proudly talked about her family and her beloved Japan. With such an organised house, the whole house totally widened my way of thinking about the world. Her presence showed me that life after 60 years old is not dull but colourful. I realised that someone who finds their position in life is indeed very confident and beautiful. The conversation planted a seed in my heart and I look forward to seeing myself running a cottage in the future, in hopes to bring some good memories to the hikers too.
