2023 Summer Day 4 沒有貓的貓島和充滿人情味的沖繩 [与那原町至那霸] 50公里 6小時
我早上5時前就起床準備睇日出，因為民宿附近就是海傍散步地方，我以為只是20分鐘的路程可以讓我早上5:30前看到顏色在變天，怎料公園太早未有開放。正當我傍徨不知如何是好的時候，有個晨運的伯伯看到我的迷茫，很有善地帶我到當地人的捷徑，成功欣賞日出。雖然我不懂日文，但感謝熱心的日本人，也令我感到市區和鄉郊風土人情的分別。
今天另一個行程重點是去奧武島，聞說是沖繩的貓島。早餐後便騎車直接朝聖，但意想不到的是竟然一隻貓也看不見 🙁 ，或許天氣太熱，大家都在躲貓貓了。
數個月後伴侶再度探訪又看見很多隻，最後帶點遺憾去歸還單車，離開沖繩，或許是提醒我下次來吧！
Day 4 Cat Island without cats and friendly Okinawa [Yunabaru to Naha] 50 km 6 hr
I woke up before 5 am for the sunrise. Since the hostel was close to a coastal walking path, I thought it was just a 20 min walk and I would be able to sit down nicely before 5:30 am for the magic. Little did I know that the park was not open at such an early morning and I was super lucky that a retired gentleman noticed my confusion and kindly led me to a shortcut that only locals know. Even though we could not communicate well as I don’t know Japanese, I can certainly feel the differences between city and countryside in Japan.
The highlight of the day was going to Ojima Island. It was heard that this is a cat island in Okinawa. After breakfast, I rode my bike directly to the island. Unimaginably, I could not spot a single cat there. 🙁 Maybe because the weather was too hot for the cat to stay visible.
After a few months, my partner told me that he saw loads of cats there. I had this little pettiness in mind but the journey ended. I returned my bike and left Okinawa, hoping to revisit this island to see the lovely cats next time!
